The  Confidential Informant

The mission of the The Confidential Informant is to shed light on photographers, projects, and organizations whose work promotes awareness, home or abroad. It is hoped that The Confidential Informant will foster an informed and constructive dialogue in response to the work.

Ben Wickerham

I was born outside Pittsburgh, PA in 1985, and currently reside south of balmy Buffalo in New York’s southern-tier.  I am a 2007 graduate of Pratt Institute’s Department of Digital Arts with a minor in the History of Art and Design.  Shortly after graduation I began freelancing for renowned conceptual artist Jenny Holzer, editing and preparing files and imagery utilized during her year-long exhibition at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MassMoCA).  After freelancing for several months I was brought on full-time, working as a digital imaging assistant and providing support for several major exhibitions and projects during 2008 before bowing out to pursue personal work and future endeavors.  I am currently weathering a less-than-friendly job search in the arts and working on several photo projects as well as the The Confidential Informant.
